Privacy Policy for ShareMail

Last updated on April 04, 2019 22:18

We do not collect or store any information regarding you or your use of the Outlook add-in ShareMail.

For functional uses ShareMail will

  • Read the content of you email, when you click any button that generates a PDF
  • Send that content to a generator
  • Provide the pdf generated as a direct download link.

We are currently working with the following PDF generators:

  • PDFShift
  • restpack

Privacy Policy of PDFShift

The entire policy can be read here https://pdfshift.io/privacy/

The important section is: "Data Privacy (what do we store)" and with respect to our use of the ShareMail service, the following is true:

Our server will save the document to Amazon S3 and will return a JSON response with the link to Amazon S3.
The link is unique, generated via a unique identifier, and only shared to the user who made the request.
Moreover, the document is only stored for a limited amount of time (default to 2 (two) days), and will then be deleted automatically.

The link returned from PDFShift is not saved by ShareMail, and is not provided to anyone else, it functions as if the user of ShareMail directly sent the request to PDFShift

Privacy Policy of restpack

The entire policy can be read here https://restpack.io/restpack/privacy

The important section is "DATA STORAGE"

The link returned from restpack is not saved by ShareMail, and is not provided to anyone else, it functions as if the user of ShareMail directly sent the request to restpack
